I rented a bass and an amp from Craig Akin in the Spring of 2016 and I was very satisfied. Craig was very helpful both during our e-mail conversation before and when I picked up the bass. (I was delayed to our meeting, but Craig was flexible and there was no problems).
Also, his house was pretty easy to find/get to.
His bass is a good one, sounds good. Easy to play. The amp (GK) was also good. I actually did 14 gigs with it, and one recording session!
In the description it says "Very reasonable rates" and can´t do anything but agree!
I would definitely rent a bass from Craig again.

Rented this bass for a recent tour and was quite pleased. The E string is killer, lots of sustain. Very playable bass with nice projection at a very reasonable price. I was playing all pizz so I can't speak to how it bows, but I was totally pleased with it. Craig is very accommodating and easy to work with.
